About me

Hi, I am Mr. Godara. I am a software engineer by profession, sports person by choice, and a cook by hobby. Right from the very early age I loved tasting and smelling food by instinct. I am always fascinated by the difference and this habit is stuck with me to adulthood.

A decade ago I didnโ€™t even know how to cook properly, I just knew how to eat. The one day a friend requested me to cook food for all of us. That day i cooked my first meal after many struggles. It turned out to be good but wasnโ€™t perfect. From that day i aspired to make every dish perfect the way I like it. I never stopped since.

Tadka Flavour is a blog I created to share all the delicious flavour I experience everyday. May it be cooked by me or by chef in a restaurant, if the flavour catches my attention, I like to share it. What does “Tadka Flavour” Means

Tadka

Tadka, also known as tempering, is a cooking technique commonly used in Indian cuisine where whole or ground spices are heated in hot oil, ghee, or butter, releasing their flavors and aromas. This mixture is then added to a dish to enhance its overall taste and aroma. In some cases this mixture is prepared first and then all the food ingredients are added.

Flavour refers to the sensory impression that a food or drink produces when it is consumed. It is a combination of taste, smell, and texture, and is influenced by factors such as ingredients, cooking methods, and cultural preferences. Flavours can be described as sweet, sour, salty, bitter, umami, or a combination of these, and are used to enhance the taste of food and make it more enjoyable to eat.

My Vision

Tadka Flavour Website is an attempt to preserve all the lovely flavours I find all across. I am a chef by hobby so I aspire to make a recipe easy on hand. I like to keep things simple hence I always eliminate the fancy instructions that can be avoided without any compromise.

My vision is to inspire people to create their own delicious food recipes, be that simple or complicated. If you have five minutes to spare, I have a delicious recipe to share.
