Bombay Themed Restaurant in Jaipur | Tadka Review – Bombay House

What would you say if I told you that you can get a taste of Mumbai at a restaurant in Jaipur? Well, that’s exactly what happened when I went to Bombay Themed Restaurant, Bombay House in Jaipur.

I had never heard of Bombay House before visiting the place and man i was missing out. When I saw their menu, I was amazed by the variety of dishes they offer. From bread poha to monaco bruschetta, from vada pao to masala dosa, there’s something for everyone.

It’s no secret that India has some of the best food in the world. And now you can enjoy authentic Indian cuisine without having to leave your home. If you want to experience the flavors of Mumbai, then you should definitely visit the Bombay Themed Restaurant, Bombay House.

The menu was overwhelming. Like a notebook that you flip pages over and over. After 10 mins of struggle we decided to order 3 dishes. Due to lack of pictures we weren’t sure what we were getting but nothing was unfamiliar so we just crossed our fingers and hoped for the best.

To our surprise, 3 average sounding dishes were presented in a fantastic way. Tastes delicious! And on top of that they weren’t too expensive as well. Lets dive deeper into the dishes I got the chance to experience.

Ragda Patties

Ragda Patties

Patties is one of the most famous food item in Jaipur and is available in almost every Bakery. As a person who grew up eating one almost everyday, I know what i was expecting.

This was my first time eating or even seeing Ragda Patties. I thought I knew what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. A giant bowl full of things I cannot even identify, this thing alone was extremely fulfilling.

One patties in the middle, dipped in some curry I found hard to identify, garnished with tomatoes, namkeen, onions, coriander and multiple sauces. It was a meal.

Cheese Jalapeño Croquettes

This is a delicious snack food that is perfect for any occasion! These croquettes are stuffed with cheese jalapeño filling and then rolled in cornmeal batter before being deep fried.

This was another dish that I went in completely blind. Fanciest name in the menu, it definitely holds the fancy title in taste as well. 6 stuffed balls with 2 sauces to choose from, every single bite was a flavour in the mouth.

In terms of quantity I was expecting more however after eating 3 I was stuffed and was no longer in any doubt that this was amazing.

Veg Spring Rolls

Veg Spring Rolls

Spring rolls are a popular snack food in Asia. They are filled with vegetables and rice noodles, wrapped up, and then deep fried. There are many different types of veg spring rolls, but they all have similar ingredients.

Veg spring rolls in Bombay House are filled with cabbage and fried till the perfect crisp texture is achieved. One of my all time favorite snack, having presented in such a spectacular fashion was a delight. On top of that having 3 different sauces to choose from was the cherry on top.
